Rev. Dan Melligan

Dan Melligan performs beautiful nondenominational ceremonies in the Wine Country of Sonoma County and Napa County of California. His ceremonies joyfully reflect not only the bride and groom’s love for each other, but also speak to the timeless joy that couples find in saying “I do” to one other.

Whether the ceremony is spiritual but not religious, or is a more traditional Christian ceremony, wedding minister Dan is creative and flexible and makes certain each ceremony fits the needs and wishes of each bride and groom. He is known for the personal care he gives each couple and for being one of the most experienced and friendly Sonoma County wedding ministers.

From the most sophisticated of weddings to the more casual, Dan will help create a warm and joyful atmosphere. Dan performs his wedding services throughout the Wine Country and the North Bay Area at any indoor or outdoor location of the bride and groom’s choosing: church, hall, winery, country club, bed and breakfast, home, forest, beach, or whatever wonderful setting is found.

Dan began specializing in Sonoma County and Napa County Wine Country weddings and serving as a wedding minister and officiant many years ago. He found that he greatly enjoys working with and serving couples in this way. Dan has over thirty years of ministry experience with teens and families, and he has served as chaplain for juvenile correction facilities, both for the state and county. He currently pastors Oakmont Community Church of Santa Rosa.

Outside working as a minister and counselor, Dan spends time wine-making, coaching youth sports, and he enjoys doing voice work for radio and television. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Social History.
